Silverlab’s Ionic (Ag⁺) Colloidal Silver Shown to Reduce Inflammation in Human Blood Study

Study 6
Supporting the Body’s Natural Healing Response
Inflammation is part of the body’s natural defence system. It helps fight infection and repair tissue, but when inflammation becomes excessive, it can slow down healing and cause pain or swelling.
A laboratory study conducted by Synexa Life Sciences in 2007 investigated whether
Silverlab Healthcare’s pharmaceutical-grade ionic (Ag⁺) colloidal silver could help
control this inflammatory response. The study used human blood that had been exposed to a toxin to trigger inflammation. Researchers then measured two key inflammatory
messengers, interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), before and
after adding the ionic silver solution.
The results were striking:
Even at a low concentration of 4.5 ppm (parts per million), the ionic silver reduced the
release of these inflammatory cytokines fivefold compared to the control sample. This anti-inflammatory effect was still clearly visible at concentrations as low as 1.1 ppm.
Why This Matters
This study confirms that Silverlab’s ionic (Ag⁺) colloidal silver doesn’t just act as a powerful
antimicrobial, killing bacteria, viruses, and fungi, but may also help regulate inflammation, supporting the body’s natural healing process.
In practical terms, this means that when applied to wounds or inflamed tissue, ionic silver
may not only help control infection but could also reduce unnecessary inflammation,
helping tissue to heal faster and more comfortably.
